I loved my time at Aberdeen more than any other place I've lived. The neighbors are friendly, management is communicative and incredibly helpful. The apartments are older but they were doing renovations as we were there and it seemed more were renovated than unrenovated by the time we moved out. Our move out process was a breeze and could not sing more praises for how great living here was.
I really enjoy living here: the community is quiet and clean. It’s very dog friendly with all the waste stations and dog park. The staff in the office are always friendly and helpful. Maintenance is prompt and thorough. Plus I love all the storage I have and the enclosed patios.
Great staff. They take care of fixing ups fast. Great landscape, always working to improve things. Fenced area for your furry friend to walk loose for a bit. They have small bags available in stations to clean after your furry friend. Make sure and report everything that might be broken. Check especially the curtains, wooden parts, bathroom towel holders.
I have been a tenant at Aberdeen Apartments for 6.5 years, moving to Lawrence from out of state. I cant say enough great things about the management and maintenance. The management truly cares about their tenants and will do their best to work through any issues that come up. Additionally, the maintenance team is always quick to respond and does great work, from the communication throughout the project to getting the repairs made.
As for the community, its very quiet. Tenants keep to themselves and there has rarely ever been noise issues or complaints. Location of the apartment is also really good, being 5 minutes from both shopping districts (6th and Wakarusa and K10 and Iowa).
Recently, management changed and there are alot of great things happening to get the apartments more modernized.
I would highly recommend this complex, especially if you are looking for a more "adult" crowd on the outskirts of town.

I've been at this apartment for three years, and it's genuinely been a great experience. TieRre was super helpful from day one, guiding me through the move-in during the pandemic and ensuring my move-out went smooth. Sarah and Kelsey have been solid, always there to address any issues promptly. And the maintenance team? They're on point, always quick to fix things up.
Everyone here has been kind and attentive, which really makes a difference. As for the neighborhood, it's a gem. Having a park right across the street is a nice touch, and the whole area has a peaceful vibe.
I'm not big on writing Google reviews, but this place deserves it. Really appreciate all they've done and how much I've enjoyed living here!
I would like to update my review and give this place 3 starts instead of 1. Aside from the powerful smells infiltrating the apartment and the strange way it was handled (or not handled), we had a very pleasant experience living in this community and communicating with staff. Staff was always very professional and courteous, and there were some staff members who really tried to help us make some headway with the smell issue. Rona, especially, was very caring and supportive. I wish we could have solved the issue as it was very difficult to live with, but I am grateful that we were able to end our lease amicably and on positive terms.

Our experience at this place started out really nice and we like the unit, but unfortunately, we have had problems with a huge issue getting neglected and ignored in our apartment by both maintenance and management. For some odd reason, cigarette smoke odor floods our hallway bathroom (one for guests) repeatedly in a 24 hour cycle. Maintenance has come by and tried some things, but most of the time our requests have been cancelled with zero communication or explanation. It seems very unprofessional to handle a situation this way, and it makes us feel like our safety, well-being, and comfort are definitely not a priority. I would appreciate if there was at least some communication, but instead, our service requests are cancelled and we are left to deal with an ever-ongoing problem that we can’t control. I’ve lived around smokers in many different complexes before and have never had an issue with it pouring through my apartment. It’s so upsetting to live in a situation like this…I would not wish it on anyone.
I just moved into this new apartment complex and let me tell you the whole experience from paper work to moving in was so easy! the gave me my keys early to move in, the apartment layout is amazing. there was stain on the kitchen floor from prior renters that could not come out and they replaced it so quickly and the new flooring looks amazing love the color and every!
Aberdeen Apartments have made my move so easy and the entire staff is so friendly and very helpful.
I have been living here for almost a year, and would highly recommend this community! The office staff have been communicative and helpful, and maintenance is very prompt and thorough.
The kitchen is amazing! Bigger than in most apartments and even a lot of houses, I love cooking and it has plenty of room to store all my gadgets. There is always plenty of parking, and the location is convenient as it's close to the K-10 bypass for easy access to KC or Topeka, and also close to Clinton Lake and other parks.
